Course Description

This 3-day live online course provides a structured introduction to the core framework of Tibetan medical theory. Students will explore how the structural universe, our physical bodies, and our psychological tendencies are fundamentally interconnected. For anyone seeking deeper self-understanding, this course provides the essential vocabulary, history, and theoretical tools to approach health from a deeply holistic perspective.

Course Overview & Highlights:
This course is delivered across three consecutive live sessions, blending classical textual theory with practical, modern applications.

Key topics covered:

The Tantric Medical System: Understand the unique integration of spiritual psychology and physical medicine within the Vajrayana Tantric framework.

The Five Elements (Jungwa)
:
Learn how Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space form the building blocks of existence, influencing everything from environmental seasons to our internal metabolic processes.

The Three Humors (Nyepa):
Master the dynamics of Loong (Wind), Tripa (Bile), and Beken (Phlegm)—the three fundamental energetic humors that dictate our distinct physical and psychological constitutions.

The Three Roots (Tsawa Sum):
Explore the iconic visual metaphor of Tibetan Medicine—the three trees of the Root Tantra. We will analyze the Root of Physiology, the Root of Diagnosis, and the Root of Treatment.

Interdependent Origination (Tendrel):
Discover the foundational law of cause and effect that underlies both spiritual liberation and physical well-being.
